Abstract
Introduction:
Helicobacter pylori is one of the most prevalent infection in human. Relationship between helicobacter pylori infection and Alzheimer in some study were proposed but a few study was done about relationship of helicobacter pylori infection and memory.
Material and methods: this study was designed as case control method and students of sanandaj universities were studied. 106 were helicobacter pylori positive and 119 were helicobacter pylori negative. Wechsler memory scale were done and comparison with using nondependent T and multivariate regression were done.
Results: no meaningful relationship was present between Wechsler memory scale and helicobacter pylori infection (p=0.246), but in subscale of visual reproduction(p=0.015) and mind control (p=0.003) relationship were present.
Conclusion: infection with helicobacter pylori and Wechsler memory scale has no meaningful relationship but because of relationship between this infection and some subscale, more study is proposed. |
