ABSTRACT Background and purpose: Non-:union: of bone fracture is a treatment challenge for orthopaedic surgeons. One of the treatment solutions to achieve this goal is local and systemic treatment. This study was conducted with the aim of investigating the results of this treatment. Materials and methods: This cross- sectional study was conducted on 20 patients with ununited long bone fractures. When the non-:union: was confirmed by the radiologist, the patient was treated with local (fixation and iliac crest autograft) and systemic Cinnopar (teriparatide) treatment. The results were analyzed using SPSS version 22 software. The significance level in this study was considered P<0.05. Results: The results showed that the average age of the studied patients was 47.2 ± 19.8 years and 11 (55%) were male and 9 (45%) were female. The average body mass index was 24.3 ± 5.6 and the time since the accident was 50.3 ± 24.48 weeks. Also 8 (40%) patients had a history of smoking, 5 (25%) patients had a history of diabetes, 3 (15%) patients had a history of corticosteroid use, and 6 (30%) patients had vitamin D deficiency. The highest frequency of fracture site with 8 patients (40%) was right femur fracture. At the end of 6 months follow-up, 19 (95%) patients were healed and one patient (5%) was not healed. The results showed that there is a statistically significant relationship between the state of bone tissue :union: in trauma patients referred to Kowsar Sanandaj Hospital with age, body mass index, history of smoking, history of diabetes, history of corticosteroid and vitamin D deficiency (p<0.05). Conclusion: The results of this study show that the treatment with iliac crest autograft and Cinnopar has improved the non-:union: in the most of the studied patients.
