Abstract
ABSTRACT
Background and aim: One of the important aspects of human life is marriage and marital satisfaction. Marital satisfaction is a situation in which, couples have satisfaction and happy feeling of marriage and living together. The aim of this study was to evaluate the factors influencing marital satisfaction in the students of Islamic Azad University in Sanandaj.
Material and Method: This was a descriptive analytic study. The study population included 240 couples in this university who were selected by means of random sampling. The results of this study were collected by means of marital satisfaction inventory (M.S.I) and a researcher made questionnaire. Data analysis was performed by statistical regression test and variance analysis.
Results: The results of this study indicated that prediction of marital satisfaction by demographic variables (age, sex, education, occupation and number of off springs) is possible. Other results of this research indicated that with increasing age marital satisfaction decreases and there is a significant relation between marital years and factors such as attractiveness, rapport, attitude and spiritual matters with marital satisfaction.
Conclusion: Demographic variables can be used to predict marital satisfaction in university students.
Key words: marital satisfaction, demographic characteristics, university students.

Abstract
َABSTRACT
Background and Aim: Personality traits are the fundamental factors that can influence the quality of couples’ relationships. Several studies have indicated that marital satisfaction has been affected deeply by couples’ personality traits. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between personality traits of the five factor model and marital satisfaction.
Material and Methods: Using descriptive-correlation method, 240 married students were selected randomly from Islamic Azad University in Sanandaj. Data were collected by using NEO-five factor criteria, marital satisfaction questionnaire, and a researcher made questionnaire and were analyzed by means of descriptive and inferential statistical tests such as correlation and multiple linear regression.
Results: The results of this study showed a significant negative correlation between neuroticism and marital satisfaction, and a significant positive correlation between extroversion, conscientiousness, agreeability with marital satisfaction.
Conclusion: Couples’ personality traits are significant determinants predicting marital satisfaction.
Key words: Marital satisfaction, Five- factor personality model, Neuroticism, Extroversion, Conscientiousness, Agreeableness, and Openness.

Abstract
Background and Aim: Diagnosis, treatment, consequences, treatment side effects and recurrence of breast cancer can lead to depression, anxiety and stress. Cognitive behavioral group therapy is one of the most effective interventions in the women with breast cancer. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of cognitive behavioral group therapy on depression, anxiety and stress in the women with breast cancer.
Materials and Methods: This was a quasi-experimental study with pretest/posttest and control group. We used purposive sampling and selected 24 women with breast cancer who had been admitted to Ahwaz Medical Sciences Hospitals. The patients were assigned to control and experiment groups (12 patients in each group). Measurement tools included Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale-short Form (DASS-21) and intervention method was cognitive behavioral group therapy which consisted of 10 weekly 90-minute sessions. Data analysis was performed by means of descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (one-way analysis of covariance).
Result: The results revealed that cognitive behavioral group therapy had significant effects on decreasing depression, anxiety, and stress in the experimental group compared to the control group (p< 0/001).
Conclusion: Cognitive behavioral therapy in oncology centers can be considered as a complementary therapy along with medical therapies and can have an essential role in the improvement of the relationship between doctor and patient.
Keywords: Cognitive behavioral group therapy, Breast cancer, Depression, Anxiety, Stress.

Abstract
Background and Aim: Irrigation with wastewater and the use of sludge as fertilizer is one of the important issues related to health and environmental concerns. The purpose of this study was to determine the amount of heavy metals of arsenic, cadmium and lead in potato and soil of agricultural lands in Sefid Dasht in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province.
Materials and Methods: This study was an experimental-laboratory study. Samples were obtained from three agricultural lands with an average area of one hectare. Hach digestion and Sandstone were used for digestion of soil and potato samples, respectively. Finally, the concentrations of heavy metals were measured using Varian atomic absorption spectrophotometer (AA240 model).
Results: The results of this study showed that lead metal had the highest rate of accumulation in soil and potato. The calculated transfer factor was according to the Arsenic > Cadmium > Lead pattern.
Conclusions: According to the results of this study, measures should be taken to prevent contamination of the soil by heavy elements. Therefore, the amount of heavy elements in the soil of Sefid Dasht should be controlled by reducing use of livestock manure and chemical fertilizers.

Abstract
Background and Aim: Anomalous origin of the right coronary artery from the left anterior descending artery is extremely rare. It is usually asymptomatic but can be associated with a risk of myocardial ischemia and sudden death.
Case presentation: This paper presents the case of an elderly male with exertional dyspnea. He underwent diagnostic measures including coronary artery angiography which showed severe stenotic three-vessel disease and right coronary artery anomaly. He underwent coronary artery bypass grafting and discharge home in good condition.
Conclusion: Although the abnormal origin of the right coronary artery from the left anterior descending artery is a rare anomaly, due to causing chest pain and the possibility of sudden death, it is considered important. For a definite diagnosis of this anomaly coronary angiography is useful.

Abstract
Background and Aim: Caspase-9 is a key enzyme in the intrinsic pathway of apoptosis that its activity is regulated by various mechanisms such as phosphorylation. It has been reported that phosphorylation of serine 310 in murine caspase-9 prevents enzyme processing. The role of this residue in human caspase-9 activity in not clear. In this study we investigated the effect of negative charge on serine 310 in caspase-9 activity.
Materials and Methods: Considering that phosphorylation leads to negative charge on caspase-9, the codon of serine 310 in human capsase-9 was mutated to aspartate via quick change site-directed mutagenesis. Recombinant wild type and mutant caspase-9 were expressed in BL21(DE3) and purified by affinity chromatography. The temperature profile and activity of the mutant caspase-9 were assessed by chromogenic substrate of Ac-LEHD-pNA in vitro, and compared to those of wild enzyme. Student’s t test was used for data analysis.
Results: The results showed that kinetics parameters of S310D mutant and wild type caspase-9 were similar, but their temperature profiles were different. Comparison of S310D mutant enzyme and wild type caspase-9 showed that S310D mutant enzyme had higher activity at 37 oC and lower activity at 4, 15, 45 and 60 oC.
Conclusion: In our study, the negative charge on serine 310 in caspase-9 led to change in the profile temperature of the enzyme with no effect on kinetic parameters.
